Just wanted to add an update post since it has been a while

UPDATE – A LOT has happened since I last posted. I last posted in 2021 and it is now 2023 so I wanted to do a quick update post. Since I last posted, my family and I moved into another house, we got a dog, our best friends moved back, and we’re expecting our third child!

Our son is 7 years old and in second grade and winning awards! He’s doing great! – we are no longer homeschooling and he just finished up a season of Flag football. He is going to take a break and start soccer in February.

Our daughter is 4 years old and is now doing ballet and had her first recital recently – she loves it!

HATERS GONNA HATE!

If you don’t like what I or anyone else has to say on a personal blog, there’s this beautiful thing called moving on with your life and/or not reading it. Some lovely person left me some nasty comments and it made me laugh, honestly. If you are so miserable in your own life that you have to crap on others in a comment section to feel better about yourself, then I truly feel sorry for you. Rather than make rude and nasty comments to someone you know nothing about, you could have just been an adult and moved past my blog and on with your miserable existence. The thing about judgmental people is that they often don’t realize that when they say things to put someone else down, they’re really only defining themselves. Happy people don’t go around shitting on others. Only unhappy people do. As they say, “misery loves company”. Either way, I wish you the best on your journey because unlike you, I like to see others happy and succeeding! 🙂

New house – New Dog – Best friends moved back – New Baby –

NEW HOUSE – 2022 was when we moved into our home we are living in now and we love it. After 6 + months of looking and countless turned down offers, we finally got the one. The one that beat all of the others we looked at. Everything happens for a reason and I believe that God was looking out for us. We are blessed to have Pacific ocean views and tons of fruit trees on our property. We have a fig tree, orange & mandarin trees, banana trees, papaya, soursop, apple, avocado, & more. We also grow a ton of herbs and a few other plants such as: turmeric, ginger, olive, macadamia, basil, rosemary, thyme, parsley, cilantro, cucumbers, tomato, etc. We have a decent yard for the kids and our new dog to run around in and we absolutely love it! I can’t believe it has already been a year since we moved in. Time flies. We are still tightening up loose ends and with me in nesting mode we have been tackling a lot of organization projects. My poor husband, LOL. We went to home depot yesterday and purchased a closet/shelf organization to get our under-the-stairs- closet in order. It feels good to have that done and it looks great! Things just kept getting thrown into that closet and it was becoming a nightmare of a mess. Now, we have a rack for our coats and shelving to put bins on. I’ll post a picture later. I wish I took a before picture now but it was pretty embarrassing.

NEW DOG – Our new dog’s name is Ali’i. He is a Jack-Russell Chihuahua mix. We got him as a Christmas present for the kids last year so he is now 1 year old. We got him from a local farm and he is such a sweet and loyal dog. We are so happy we added him to our family.

OUR BEST FRIENDS MOVED BACK! In 2020, our friends moved off island and back to the mainland. We were so sad to lose them but with the husband losing his job and restaurant business tanking that year, they decided that it would be best to go back to where he is from which is Louisiana. During the year they were there, we were all sad to not have them around. The wife is my best friend, the husband and my husband are two peas in a pod, and their children (a boy and a girl) are both around the same age as our children (2 years younger) We met them at a local pizza restaurant and hit it off – then they moved. Well, as I previously stated they decided to move back and we couldn’t be happier to get our BFF’s back!

NEW BABY – It’s a girl! We found out on labor day that we are expecting. Of course, when we moved into our home last year we got rid of all of the remaining baby things we owned because we thought we were done. But, lo and behold it now is like starting all of over again because we have absolutely nothing for baby. Now, that it is our 3rd and we do have limited space we have decided to go minimalist with this baby and we are only getting what we need when we need it. For instance, no need to get things we won’t need until baby is a year old. We are very excited and the kids cannot wait to meet their new sister!

It’s funny how life throws ya curveballs sometimes. Here, I was thinking since my daughter will be going to Kindergarten this coming school year, that I would be getting back into the workforce. Now, I’m rethinking what I’ll be doing. I did just luckily get a part-time work-from-home position that is flexible so I will have that, but career wise I’m still trying to figure out what my next moves are.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year!
