Aloha and thank you for stopping by! I am a 33-year old mama of two. I have a daughter (19 months) and son (4 years) and I am a stay-at-home mom. I am originally from upstate NY but I lived in Florida for about 12 years after graduating high school and I now reside on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.
When I met my husband he lived in Hawaii and I lived in Florida. We spent almost a year doing the long-distance thing until he moved to Florida to be with me. Shortly after he moved there, we got pregnant with our son, Daniel (jr). At that time I was working my way through college as a bartender. We decided that due to childcare expenses it would be best that I stayed home with our son and continued my education.
We moved to Hawaii in 2017 and shortly after got married, and then pregnant with our daughter, Evelyn.
I graduated with my associates degree while pregnant with my son and then went on to get my bachelors degree in business management while pregnant with my daughter.
I’m hopeful that one day i’ll utilize my degrees in some way but until then I am enjoying the precious moments I have with my babies. As grateful as I am, there are harder days than others and just moments where I too, need to vent.
Being a stay-at-home mom can be very isolating and I am not only doing this blog for me but also for others out there who just would like to know that they aren’t alone. This isn’t just for SAHMs – although because I am one, I am mostly posting about and from that perspective. All are welcome and I hope that I can inspire even just one person. If not, eh this is something cool for me to do for myself anyway. Enjoy! 🙂
