One of the most challenging things about being a SAHM is time management.  It can be so easy to let the time just slip away.  Although I’m still working on perfecting this aspect of my life, I wanted to share with you what a typical day is like for us.

Of course everything is subject to change and so I do leave flexibility in each day so that alternative plans can be made.  Our routine is not as rigid/strict as others but that’s because although I enjoy planning, I do enjoy a certain amount of spontaneity as well.

My daughter Evie is 6 months old and son Daniel is 3.5 years old at the time of writing this.

6:00 AM Evie wakes. Nurse her and enjoy some morning snuggles in our bed.

7:00/7:30 AM Daniel Jr. wakes and we all hang in bed for a bit until daddy is ready and leaves for work.

8:00 AM  Feed baby pureed food  (usually a fruit mixed with oatmeal) while son watches his morning shows and drinks his milk.

8:30/9:00 AM (ish) Breastfeed baby and put her down for morning nap.

9:00 AM Make breakfast for jr. and I and/or get us both ready for the day.

10:00-12:00 (Outdoor PLAYTIME ) Go to playground/Library/ bike track / walk/ get out – This is the time of day we try to get out and do things.

12:00 -2:00PM Lunch. Nurse baby.  Nap time for both kids (if I’m lucky).

2:00 – 4:00 PM  Nurse baby. Read books/flash cards/paint/color/learning time.  This is usually the time of day we do more learning and/or quiet things at home.

4:30- 5:30 PM Make dinner.  Feed baby pureed veggies.

6:00-7:00 PM Dinner time/family time.  No phones or tablets allowed.

7:30 PM Nurse Evie. Give her a bath if she needs it and put her down.

8:30/9:00 PM Give Daniel Jr. a bath if he needs one, brush teeth and bed.

10:00 PM Clean up from dinner or relax with the hubs before bed.

11:00-12:00 Bedtime.

Rinse and repeat.
